From the village of Tlatilco near Mexico
City comes this Olmec pottery figurine of a seated child. Tlatilco may
have been settled around 800 BCE and nearby Teotihuacán, with
its great pyramids, was called “The Place Where the Gods Touched
the Earth.” Every time a child is born, “the gods”
touch the earth. Every time something is created, divine play is manifest.
When groups “become as children,” they are, like all children,
before adults stamp and “correct” them, without guile, free
to say whatever they sense to be truth, open to wonder, eager to play.
Orange: like amber, orange brings healing with its deep brilliance.
Orange is red’s raw energy tempered with yellow’s insights.
