Living Spiritual Elders Project
...an eight-week discovery and discussion
series
Interfaith spiritual director and author
Meredith Jordan offers a rare, inspiring opportunity to participate
in the Living Spiritual Elders Project, an eight-week
discovery and discussion series beginning September 28th and ending
November 16th. We will explore the teachings of revered spiritual
elders from diverse faith and spiritual traditions and plumb the
wisdom they hold out to help shape our personal lives and the future
of the human family. The series will be held at the First Parish
Congregational Church in Saco, Maine (off Exit 36 of the
Maine Turnpike/I-95).

About the
Project... | |
|
Using audio-visual DVDs and audio CDs, our study
circle will share in the sacred wisdom of Clan Mother
Audrey Shenandoah, Iroquois Tribal Leader Oren Lyons,
Cistercian monk Father Thomas Keating, Rabbi Zalman
Schachter-Shalomi, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama,
Thich Nhat Hahn, Jungian analyst Marion Woodman,
religionist Huston Smith, Frederick Buechner, Swami
Chidvilasananda, Ram Dass, Barbara Marx Hubbard and
others. Now in the second half of their lives—many in
the last years—these inspiring teachers have gathered a
body of collective wisdom available to those of us in
line to inherit the place of elder in our families,
communities, churches and world. What better time to
absorb the richness of their wisdom than now, when
humanity needs wise counsel from those who walk the
wisdom path and mark the way for all of us!
This group is limited to 25 interested women and men.
We will meet eight successive Thursday afternoons from
4-6:30 pm, beginning September 28th and ending
November 16th at the First Parish Congregational
Church in Saco, Maine (off Exit 36 of the Maine
Turnpike/I-95). Cost for the full series is $200 (or
$160 if registration received by September 8th). A
reading list will be provided to those who want to
deepen their study outside the group sessions. For
