Embodied
Presence Practice: Cultivating Awareness of the
Field
April 12-15, 2007 in Rosendale, New
York, USA
Our body knows. It provides an immediately available
source of wisdom, an interior wisdom as well as a means of
sensing within the collective field. Arawana
Hayashi’s pioneering work, Embodied Presence Practice,
is based on a lifetime of experience with movement and dance,
somatic psychology and Shambhala Buddhist spiritual practice.
These enable Arawana to guide and help heighten our individual
and collective capacities to tap into kinesthetic or somatic
knowing for more clearly articulated embodied insight and
for deeper holistic understanding. Her workshop develops mindfulness
of the physical body, ability to suspend habitual thinking
and grounding of action in the reality of the present. It
offers practice in perceiving and acting from a place of “simple
being”. All senses are engaged, enhancing a conceptual
understanding of intuitive knowing. Arawana has developed
this workshop for those interested in learning more of the
practices of Presencing. Her work expands our understanding
of collective wisdom, as a different way of knowing.
