What is an underlying question that gives form to your work or interest in this field?
What is the connection between authenticity, dialogue
and collective wisdom?
What is your personal experience of collective
wisdom in groups?
Collective wisdom is experienced in a group when there
is a sufficient depth of atmosphere of trust, and when any overly rigid
agenda has been released by the leadership.
What is it about the work in this field that excites
you and connects you to your own deepest self?
I find my own sense of self magnified and my insights/thinking
processes enriched by the group presence.
Please provide a brief storyline or snapshot of
what brought you to this work.
The experience of living communally or alongside community
gave me plenty of food for thought about group experience. This was
given a new focus when I participated in a gathering back in 1983 with
Professor David Bohm, at which the experience and idea of dialogue -
and meaning coming out of the group - was born. I participated in the
dialogue groups that formed out of that initial meeting, but also gained
deep insight into the collective experience as I participated in the
transformation of my own spiritual network when its leadership changed.
How would you like to be available to others in
this field?
I love telling the stories of King Arthur and the grail
quest and relating them to the leadership journey and the dynamics of
collective wisdom and leadership. I run workshops on these insights,
and have worked with business executives, womens groups and healing
professionals. I would love any chance to talk or present on these themes
or simply correspond.
