What is an underlying question that gives form
to your work or interest in this field?
“How can we humans work co-creatively both with
one another and with other forms of life, for the good of all?"
What is it about the work in this field that excites
you and connects you to your own deepest self?
What is both most engaging to me and most at the edge
of my competence and understanding are practices for forming co-creative
relationships and alliances with those non-physical beings that are
concerned with the evolution and well being of our world. In this category
of non-physical beings I include devas, nature spirits, "ascended
masters," and the like, as well as the "souls" of such
entities as organizations, communities and nations.
Please provide a brief storyline or snapshot of
what brought you to this work.
For over 50 years I have been concerned professionally
and personally with issues of cooperation, authentic communication and
empowerment of individuals in groups and organizations. In the early
1960's my involvement in T groups and sensitivity training stimulated
a passion for these issues. Throughout a career in which I have contributed
to many of the innovations in organizational development (OD) those
passions have never left me. I have tried in all my engagements to create
safe spaces for the blossoming of the human heart. Although most of
my work has been with scientific, research and technical groups in multinational
organizations, I have been fortunate in finding and encouraging many
like-minded allies.
How would you like to be available to others in
this field?
I am an enthusiastic and empathic listener, endowed by
my life experience and inclination with a gift for seeing-and the courage
to speak-what is not immediately evident in the inner processes of individuals,
groups and organizations. I greatly enjoy establishing deep and empathic
connections with others through conversation and dialogue. Thus, in
my later career I have much enjoyed my coaching practice.
