What is an underlying question that gives form
to your work or interest in this field?
“What can I do to help people who have found this
new way of seeing and feeling to find each other, and to make more people
aware of the existance of a real collective consciousness?"
What is your personal experience of collective
wisdom in groups?
I have had several, very strong experiences of the prescense
of something I could only describe as collective consciousness during
the last year. I feel it "outside" but near to myself. I feel
the direction to which this consciousness wants to take things is very
good and humane -- in many ways a complete opposite to what the world
(or at least the western cultures) are today. These experiences came
to me out of nowhere: I had never felt anything similar, and I wasn't
expecting anything like this to happen. Currently I can reach this feeling
quite easily, and I feel it pretty much every day. Many of my close
friends have experienced it too, more strongly when people sensitive
to it get together. It also seems to me that a right choice of music
can also help reaching the connection.
What is it about the work in this field that excites
you and connects you to your own deepest self?
I am thrilled about the idea, that we now seem to have
a completely new, very powerful force in the world, possibly and hopefully
capable of helping us solve many if not most of our problems. In theory,
what lies ahead could be almost an utopia. And even if anything resembling
a paradise wouldn't be born, many things could be so much better, that
it's just amazing to think about how the world could look like.
Please provide a brief storyline or snapshot of
what brought you to this work.
I would love to describe all the lovely and terrible
things I was going through right when 2006 changed to 2007, but it would
take several pages of space. To put it all in a really small nutshell,
I guess I could say that right in the middle of a beatiful and sad,
really bitter sweet chrisis, I just suddenly felt the prescense of an
entity, which I felt was clearly a consciousness -- it just suddenly
hit me one evening, when I was listening to Bird York's CD The Velvet
Hour. I started to dig information about global consciousness from the
Internet, and found out that more and more people are having same kind
of experiences.
How would you like to be available to others in
this field?
I'm maintaining a web site (www.olotila.net),
which provides some thoughts and information about global consciousness
in Finnish. I also run a lovely, old movie theatre near to Helsinki.
I'm happy to help arrange movie screenings, other events, or just give
space from my web site for thoughts, articles, pictures or whatever.
I would love to be able to arrange discussion events at the Helsinki
area, and I would really appreciate help with this. I'm generally interested
in all of the forms in which this new entity appears, so if you have
anything you like to discuss about, don't hesitate to contact me.
