What is an underlying question that gives form to your work or interest in this field?

What can each of us do to bring Spirit down to Earth?

I believe that each of us will do our part. My part was creating a mechanism for each person's talent to be used for others, particularly in the Global South. I founded and direct nGoAbroad, a clearinghouse and referral service that custom-fits peoples' skills, interests and goals with international humanitarian needs. nGoAbroad enables amazing people to do amazing things.

Please provide a brief storyline or snapshot of what brought you to this work.

In 1983, I left Seattle to study with the Lorian Institute in Madison, Wisconsin. I sat at the feet of David Spangler and other Findhorn refugees. David introduced our class to Peter Russell's book The Global Brain. Intuitively, I sensed the huge global transformations that Peter wrote about.

Over time, I learned that I am a bridge. I am fascinated by a transpersonal perspective but am restless until Spirit is brought down to Earth. I spent the next 10 years of my life studying the transformations occurring all over the world: the Soviet empire was bursting open and giving birth to new nations. Almost contagiously, Africa threw off their founding Presidents that had morphed into Presidents-for-Life. Central and South America were making a simultaneous push for democracy.

From an astrological perspective, we are entering the Age of Aquarious which means during the next 2000 years, the collective themes will be: equality, "where each person is the knower." In short, Spirit will shine in each person. Human potential will inch-by-inch be realized. Aquarius is also sudden, electric change; revolution. Aquarius figured prominently during the French and American Revolutions when Equalite, Fraternite, Liberte were the guiding themes. Present global inequities resemble those in France before the French Revolution: 7/8ths Have-Nots who only have access to 1/8's of the world's resources, and 1/8th Have-Lots who use 7/8th of the world resources.
