Our strong intention is for this website to be a generative space, a field
of creation. It is designed as a vehicle through which everyone attracted
to this field can contribute to the mapping endeavor. We believe that
we learn about the field through seeing more clearly each of its parts
and that each part becomes clearer about itself as it sees more of the
wholeness of the field of which it is a part. Thus as each contribution
makes visible or further describes aspects of the field, our collective
ability to see the whole field expands. In short, we need
you—all of you.
We invite you to participate in any of the following four ways:
Create a Self-Portrait
If
you have a strong attraction to and experience with this field
of collective wisdom, follow the instructions in Self-Portrait
Invitation. We invite you to offer papers, photos, audio clips
and suggest web links that you believe would inform the larger
understanding of this field. These would be linked directly to
your Self-Portrait. Please keep in mind that the Self-Portrait
and any linked items are not primarily about promotion or sales
of your work, although they may involve work you are engaged in.
Write a Seed Paper
A
Seed Paper is a piece of original writing that illuminates some
aspect of of the field of collective wisdom. It is expected to
be original writing of 5-10 pages long, written to offer insight
while inviting response and exchange. For more on Seed Papers,
read What is
a Seed Paper, and take a look at a Seed
Paper already on the website as illustrations and examples
of various approaches. If you would like us to consider posting
a Seed Paper of your own, follow the Guidelines
for Submissions.
Contribute related content, images or audio
We invite you to offer papers, photos, audio clips
or to suggest web links that you believe would inform the larger
understanding of this field. These would be linked directly to
your Self-Portrait. If you would like us to consider adding other
content, images or audio you think might be suitable for posting
in one of the domain doorways, follow Guidelines
for Submissions.
Respond to existing content
You
are invited to add to this mapping endeavor by offering your reflections,
extensions or points for further inquiry. At the bottom of each
page, there is a "Comments?" icon for you to provide
a short and focused response to any part of the website.
NOTE: Due to the volume and variety of items that may come our way,
we will not be able to post everything sent to us. We are, however, very
interested in receiving your suggestions and offerings aimed to enrich
our understanding and mapping of this field.
